Itinerary
Arrival - 1 day
A warm welcome to Morocco! You will be greeted with sunshine and a big smile from your coach. Settle into your room. Explore the area a bit and have your first Moroccan dinner with us. We will have a chilled night and early start the following morning to score our waves.
Surf - 8 days
We kick off the course early with some surf fuel breakfast. Then we hit the road to find the best waves on offer that day. After jumping in the water and we study your surf skills and you will have your surf coaching session. Followed by video analysis and theory training. Around midday there's some chill time and you can explore your lunch options. In the afternnon the second surf session of the day starts. Dinner at the villa is at 7pm. We may have a couple beers, sleep and repeat! (Depending on the surf conditions we may take a day off and take a day excursion.)
Ciao - 1 Day
On your last night we will have a BBQ and celebrate an awesome trip and all the new logging skills you have. We might be up early to catch one last dawnie surf before you cross-step your way home.
The coaching
Intensive surf coaching is by Simo - the best and OG local logger around. With 15 years coaching experience under his belt, he has created the best possible longboarding learning experience. He is not only going to help you on your cross-stepping, cutbacks and hang fives, you are going to have fun sharing waves while learning the tools to become an epic longboarder.
Simo know alls the ins and outs in the area and has the right recipe to make the day fun, surfboards on the roof, stoke levels hard to match and a smile
you’ll never forget.
The vibe
Calipso log surf retreats bring together like minded people that share the joy of riding waves. The palm tree decorated bay of Taghazout, peeling surf and laid-back ambience provides the perfect platform for your inspiration and creativity to flow. Share simple days with us by the sea, working on your cross-stepping and enjoying great local cafes.

The villa
Stay in the centre of amazing waves in a villa adorned with banana plants, palm trees and cacti.
The retreat has dorms, single and double rooms - all nestled around a beautiful garden courtyard with cosy corners for relaxing and hangout areas for socialising. The space is a mini Marrakech with blush pink walls, handmade homeware and rustic touches. There is plenty of outdoor chillout options including two rooftop terraces with views to the ocean,
which is just a 5 minute walk away.
